I like to tell you about a few things as seen from my side, the masseueses side.
Obviously I get all sorts of requests and questions and there are quite a few that I have to answer with a “No” and give the person the advise to see a specialist and you will appreciate that is not a specialist for heart disease! It is amazing how often people will call and ask what services I provide while it is all written down on the website in great detail. I can assure you that most providers have to deal with this. Imagine you go to a travel agency and ask them if they can arrange your daily shopping what their response would be?
Quite often I get the question how much I am personally involved in a session and do I get aroused myself? If I would get aroused myself that would be crossing the professional line. So no I don’t.
I am involved personally but at a professional level as my aim is to provide you with an unforgettable experience. So your relaxation and letting go is what it is all about for me and I hope you will be so happy that you will come back another time. A lot of my clients like to talk to me about their personal situation. The appointment is totally confidential and what is said between the four walls of my appointment room stays there.
A general misconception about masseuses is that we make a lot of money. Because people think “She earns a $200 per hour so maybe she will have 6 clients per day times 5 days….” Well you all can do the math so according to that I should be going around in a Porsche now. Please realize that an appointment of an hour will take me at least two hours in total as I need to prepare before and clean up after the session. Once you arrive I like everything to be ready so you can relax. Wouldn’t be very nice if I still had to dim the lights or find my clothes to receive you in a nice way….
Like in any business there are busy and quiet times and somehow certain slots are very popular so I can have a day with three requests for about the same time so my net result will be one client.
Other work a masseuse needs to do is make sure that all bedding and towels are clean as nothing is so off-putting as towels and bedding that are not fresh (I work on a mattress and not on a table for people who haven’t seen me.)
Once a year I replace all my towels to guarantee your level of comfort which is very important to me.
Often I get phone calls from potential clients and they ask me if I can see them in like ten minutes from now or even sooner. I am afraid I have to disappoint them as that is practically just impossible. In ten minutes I can’t be ready and I could be shopping somewhere getting my groceries for tonight. I normally need minimum an hour lead time in order to be ready to receive a client as is stated on my website.
What is unfortunately not always possible as an independent masseuse is to respond to all phone calls. When I am working I obviously can’t and I also have a private life. When I receive a phone call and someone leaves a voicemail asking me to call back and I hear it much later it constitutes a problem for me because I don’t know if my call will be convenient. I have to respect the privacy of my clients. So in this case I kindly ask you to try again to contact me. I know this can be annoying but I don’t have a receptionist working for me who takes all the bookings but I am a one person’s business. Thank you so much for your understanding. Alternatively you can send me an email. Best to make bookings the day before or send me a message early in the morning. My availability is flexible and normally I work Monday to Friday.

As a regular client, I would like to say that any masseuse who is very good at what she does, normally has the same time limitations for appointments. The better the masseuse, the further in advance you have to book her. Just like restaurants !
Just to take the analogy further, good restaurants do not rush their clients, have fresh table clothes for every appointment, and present their fare beautifully. Presentation is an important part of the whole enjoyment of the dinner/appointment.
This is not a drive through McDonalds !
The main problem is that when most clients want to see a provider of a FBSM, logic and etiquette seem to be abandoned beyond trace. Once the little brain is engaged and does all the thinking, the male in need can abandon all normal politeness, he has an inability to read anything he does not want to, and reads between the lines, words that he hopes will be on the website.
Alternatively for any potential new client who has been through a few websites without getting a successful appointment, he doesn’t bother to read the details given in the next website clearly defining what is available, and what is not available, and just asks straight away if the masseuse provides services beyond the normal. In addition, when the small brain is fully engaged, all aspects of time disappear, waiting is not an option.
I seem to recall a lady going completely nuts at a McD’s drive through collect point because McNuggets were not being served in the morning. She became quite violent and scary, and I believe was arrested. So the disengagement of the normal brain doesn’t just happen to men in times of great need.
