I stayed at the Park Lane Hilton in September 2011 and found it a rather agreeable experience.
The reception staff are friendly and the rooms are clean and functional. The view over Hyde Park was magnificent and special requests were accomodated to a large extent.
The three negative aspects I would mention:
a) I could hear the television in the adjacent room. Wall-mounted television sets are not a good idea unless the wall is absolutely sound-proof, which in the Park Lane Hilton it is not.
b) There is no WiFi in the guestrooms and
c) The maid making up the room was rather rude
However the view and the quality of the hotel otherwise in my view more than make up for the shortcomings, hence 4 stars.
